Great app

3d model is great. Latest update fixes an anatomy problem. Nice. I have a few of the Orca apps and this has the best videos.

Awesome, simple, informative

This app has great short videos explaining many different cardiac problems and procedures. As an RN I love this app. This app would be great for patients undergoing procedures. Please make similar apps for neuro and lungs!

This is the best app ever

I just cant even believe that this is posible. Excelent app, everything explicit, in 3D and have videos that explain you part by part. I will put you 10 stars if posible.

Best app ever!!!!!

All I can say is...looooooove it! Great for me as a nurse and a nursing student! So detailed and the 3d video is awesome!.., Im looking for more!..now THIS I will pay for!!!!!!

Was educational; now Doctors only?

I enjoyed all the "Decide" apps and learned a lot about the human anatomy without having to create a username and password. Now, since Orca Health owns the apps, theyve changed to apps for medical professionals and not for the average person just wanting to learn. That was the reason I downloaded the apps in the first place. Time to delete them all.

Subscription now required

Be cautious before updating these apps. If you have been using the free version or were one of he first adopters who purchased the original versions (like myself) you will no longer be able to use these apps after your two week trial version has expired unless you purchase a subscription plan. This information was not added to the update information.

Still getting better

Ive used these for a long time for free. They keep getting better and they have added tons of stuff, the subscription doesnt bug me because I know they will keep adding.

Dont update, broken now unless $40/mo. For Doctors only.

Not for the public anymore. Subscription required now, after free trial it is now apparently $40 but that information is not included in the app description. Is it possible that your one Orca login subscription allows you to use all their apps? Maybe, but it doesnt say in the app description or in the app and there is no preview allowed before signing up and logon. They are trying to get around paying Apples cut.

Understand

Finally understand the heart and conditions

Best patient education tool on the iPad

This app has greatly effected the way I operate my practice for the better. My patients leave my office with a deep understanding and thorough education of their condition and I spend less time answering needless questions. By far the best patient education tool I have ever used on the iPad, and in general. Fantastic work!

I have sub-aortic stenosis

***5.0.5 Update*** When I was 8, I had open heart surgery. I’m now in the mid 30s and have been seeing the same cardiologist since I was 18 months. Recently my cardiologist upgraded his office and technology. He bought an iPad and started using this software to educate his patients. He has a lot of patients who do not speak English as a first language, so images and animations are particularly powerful—especially when he has to use a translator. In my case, though my English is good enough, I just did not understand what is a fairly complex condition. I didn’t understand it, that is, until he used this application to explain to me not only what my condition was, but why surgery was necessary when I was 8 and what my longterm prognosis is. Armed with that knowledge, I’ve done a better job adhering to his treatment recommendations. I want to get as much mileage out of my faulty valve as possible before I have to have surgery again. The longer I can put off surgery, the better that technology will be when I eventually have to have it. Like they say, knowing is half the battle.
